Once upon a time, hourglass lip products were more relevant than their highlighters - now not so much. Their liquid lipstick was all the range and their name was on everyone's lips. Maybe its because I don't watch so many makeup videos (hauls) anymore but, I feel the tide has shifted.
Since hourglass is a high end brand (according to my purse - £22) and they still make this shade (I bought it a few years ago). I thought I'd swatch it for you.

Icon is a true deep pigmented red. The formula is thick but not sticky and has no shimmer, its just pure sheen.
The wand is pretty long and picks up enough product to fill your lips. The consistency is smooth and adheres well without a tacky feel or an overtly glossy (drooling) result. This gloss wears well and fades into a not as pigmented sheer version of itself throughout things like eating, yapping and smooching ones hand. It doesn't have any particular scent and I can't really fault it for anything other than the price. However, in the general scheme of things - if you're after a red that will not offend your senses and will feel, look + wear nicely - you can't really go wrong with this.
What hourglass says? This lustrous, luxurious and long wearing lip delivers, high shine without stickiness and resists bleeding.
What I say? They no lie.

Honestly, since I purchased it I haven't really worn it out but I'm sure that will change in a day or two :).
