First of all Congratulations to everybody who can apply for I-485.The people at USICS are so smart that for the next 4-5 years people will be renewing their EAD cards.The USICS will be minting money and having a grand party.
DO you think the USICS made visa dates current to utilize the annual numbers.Its a grand bull.They made it ,to make money because the 485 fees will be increasing from August onwards.Just imagine the pile of applications they have to go through and this will result in a massive backlog just like labor .
They have done current so people can file now and then they will retrogress in the coming months as they have mentioned in their predictions of Visa Bulletin.Then you will be renewing your EAD card every year for the next 3-4years.
Anyways this situation is better than not having a EAD card.

and computers located in different places if possible.
3.Set up alarm clock (if you manage to sleep) middle of night
tonight. USCIS employees at NSC are famous for working (long) weekends.
4. Definitely check several times through the week end (refer to #3 above).
5.Conduct pujas today and certainly several times through the weekend.
6. Call parents to conduct pujas.
7. Don't forget to ask the in-laws to conduct pujas.

Since no one actually provided the answer, I will attempt.
What you are looking for is Au Pair from India. This is the program available to get nannys for a period of 12 months, extensible up to 24 months. This may or may not be practical to you since there are several conditions to be met.
Ofcourse I am not talking from experience. Just read about this in past and remembered.

After my vacation, I returned from India to US on last week of Feb through EWR. Officer at POE asked so many questions and I had a hard time answering them. And after 5 mins of drilling, he let me in. He never said anything about recession or why did I want to enter US at this time. I hope whatever discussed here is rumor.

As you know, you and your wife will be able to file your applications to adjust status to permanent residence in July 2007. You will need to prepare the following for your adjustment applications:
1. Form I-485, Application to Adjust Status. You can find this Form on the Internet here:

Please complete this form in draft format for you and your wife. Please write "unknown" instead of leaving questions unanswered.
2. Form G-325, Biographic Information. You can find this Form on the Internet here:

AP got approved today around 7:45am PDT. I had logged in earlier in the morning and status was still "Initial Review", refreshed it a few mins later while working on something else - lo and behold the LUD date had changed to 11/18 and case status had changed to document production or Oath Ceremony....so now I can travel on 11/28.

When is the receipt date of yours? And which service center is that?
My receipt date is 8/14, and I called to request for expedite last fri, 11/20, and hear nothing yet. I guess i have to reschedule my flight, that sucks.

Rajiv Khanna has said several times that he has seen cases where the 140 was initially approved, but was revoked during 485 processing. The most common reason he has seen is insufficient education to match job description.

My AP application was on Mar 15th at TSC. Still havent got anything but a receipt.
Called the service center. Guy said they are currently processing Jan 27th :mad:
He also said i should just get an infopass and do my biometrics because i need to renew it every year.
They won't let me stay in the country permanently. And now they won't let me out!!!!
What! Jan 27th? that means 5months to process? Hollycow!
I sent mine June 1st and till now didnot recieved any acknowledgement neither the cheque got cashed. Looks like I need to drop my Oct vacation to India.
Called the service center. Guy said they are currently processing Jan 27th :mad:

Let's see how this all plays out. After seeing yesterday's amendments, all my anxiety changed into laughter as that's how pathetic this bill is at this point.

I had a fun time after applying my I-131 that I wanted to expedite. USCIS conveniently lost my two pictures. The Local office had no clue. They could only see that it has been approved. Then, I waited for one month for the document to be sent them. Nothing came through.... They did not give me any RFE for my pics since it was already sent. They lost the pictures along the line somewhere...and the guys kept quiet... They did not even give any update to the local office about my case... The local office was helpless inspite of their good intentions... When push came to shove ...LAST resort.. Congressman's Office... They found out about this Mess in 4 hours and advised me to send them the pics to their Texas office to a particular individual... In 3 days my I-131 got approved..
